The next lunar eclipse is only a week away when the vision comes.

Sam wakes up and wipes the water from his eyes, staring down at the sheets he's wound himself in, like shedding skin, tight against him but bunching and sloughing off. He smirks and wriggles out of the cocoon, standing, naked and full, staring out of the window overlooking the horizon. The moon is waxing full.

He knows what to do.
