The character development in this story is just so good. Especially Chris--I think he's a really tricky character to write and to give depth to, but you did such a fantastic job with it.

Gosh, I really was excited to see the next chapter of this posted! I feel like you've been mentioning it for approximately 27 months, just to tease me. And now it's here and it's glorious. I enjoyed the structure- the Monday-Saturday-Sunday-Monday thing- and I'm so glad we're starting to see into Ann's soul- or at least her POV. I just loved the awkwardness of the Ann/Chris/Andy/Janet scene, especially since that plotline continues into the Andy/Leslie scene later on. It's always great to see Chris interact with Champion- even if Ann doesn't get it. And I like your take on the Chris/Ben friendship, and how the last trial disrupted it. It's been getting to me, lately, to see Chris melting down without Ben stepping in, given that Chris did the same for Ben recently, so I like having some reasoning laid out there.

And I feel like I can offer some personal advice to Chris: sometimes, all you need in life is a palm tree. I can say this because I have a palm tree

It's been bothering me like crazy that there hasn't been a real scene between Chris and Ben since The Comeback Kid. Come on, show! You brought them on together, you made Chris hire Ben immediately when he got the job in Pawnee, and then you just split them up and you basically haven't lost a word over it since - except of course to rub it in by saying they've known each other for 12 years. I demand restitution!
