Today I will not be observing a minute of silence
The government wishes us to hold a minutes silence today. While I am sad for the thirty eight people who died in Tunisia, I see no special reason to remember them.
I see a government wanting to begin bombing in Syria.
I see a government wanting to demonise immigrants.
I see a government wanting to restrict freedoms. -

Planning a funeral...
Thanks to petulans for digging through the pastKay's belief that the disposal of his body is a secondary act, and that he'd prefer people to enjoy the marking of his passing (while understanding, expecting and accepting the there will be sadness) has remained constant and his love of nature was undiminished ( Read more... ) -
funeral problems
We discussed it occasionally, but never to any great conclusions. We discussed medical training, but the assumption was this would be too difficult for his family, and he would be going back to be near his family. I talked this through with his sister, and had contacted funeral directors to sort things out ( Read more... )
