Summary:   House and Cuddy need a vacation, and they take one, but it isn't that simple. Set in the sharkverse, and will include events from  "Recession Proof" and "The Last Temptation."

Yay! An update! I love this chapter. I love reading about the development of House and Rachel's relationship. I find it endearing that House thinks Rachel didn't have to be anything else. Totally loved that reference on the House finale. That made me laugh. :P This is a very interesting and entertaining chapter. I can't wait to read more! :D

I think the relationship between House and Rachel would be incremental and take a lot of time (on his part; for a child, especially a secure and well-loved one, trust is so natural and intuitive that it would be almost automatic). Of course it's materially complicated by the fact that they are both growing and learning at about the same rate, in some ways.

Like fish, house(or House) guests start to smell after three days. Wilson is hitting the road, just a few hours past his "use by" date. And of COURSE, House is going to interpret everything, including being twinkled at, in the worst possible light -- he's bracing himself for the long haul with Rachel (and her mother), without realizing what it says about his own progress.

Thanks for hanging in here with me. My House fanfiction has been the *least* dramatic part of my summer.

I’m going to miss Wilson as the third wheel on this vacation trip now that you’re sending him away. It will be interesting to see how will House handle everything by himself including babysitting Rachel when Cuddy is away doing her community service.

Well, and it's raining, too, so being cooped up with Rachel is likely to get even more challenging than it already is.
