It's silly, but I sort of love how she has that Wands section where she says she liked the Trio having this secret Wand connection, that all their wands corresponded to their Celtic tree horoscope...and then there's Draco shoving himself into the group again without her putting him there on purpose.:-D

I also love the purity elements, the cleansing away of bad habits. Bad habits like...RACISM??? Dum dum dummmmmm!

It's not silly, it's kinda cool (and not only because it's him instead of Jenny; he really is the fourth trio member. Would this be appropriate to mention in gingivitis?) Although it's interesting that she didn't mention it earlier. Maybe she hadn't picked a wand for him at the time. But yeah, I love it when he sort of thwarts her like that. He just refuses to be ignored in any way shape or form, in the books or even outside of them, to some extent. I really don't think Draco was meant to be as big as he is in terms of people actually caring about him; even though she knew how big his role would be, I think JKR assumed that people wouldn't see him as anything more than another teaching tool for Harry (which he sort of is). And ironically, it's the fact that he has to teach Harry without trying, and therefore needs a really, really strong personality, that thwarted her there and made him so popular.

But yeah, the cleasing of bad habits, the opening of doors, the death of winter and the beginning of summer. It's all there. :)

Just today (or maybe yesterday?). It's up on her website in the questions section, as well as information on Draco's patronus and wand and on Voldemort's birthday.

And yeah, sure, steal away. ^^

I just saw the news now on Moronnet. D:

I'm so glad Tonks isn't a Gryffindor, because an Order full of Gryffindors would have been more than a little nauseating. I liked the idea of her being a Slytherin but I never really bought it.

Myrtle as a Ravenclaw - I always thought she was a Gryffindor, but I guess seeing as she seemed to work out the egg clue before Diggory did in GoF, that might suggest she was at least intelligent when alive.

I totally thought she could have been a Slytherin (the clues were there, I swear) but Hufflepuff fits, too, and I guess just makes me look at what I was seeing in a different light. She seems a bit...harsh for one, but she is a really eager sort of person. And yay for the Puffs; it's rare that they get anything good thrown their way, and I like Tonks.

Myrtle. I really don't know what to say on that one. She never really struck me as all that Gryffindor because she lacked a certain amount of...forcefulness? I don't know. Not a Slytherin either. I have to go back and re-read her parts, I admit, I've mostly forgotten them.

I like that she answered two questions about Draco ( ... )

It's sad that I found myself thinking--hey, somebody cares about Draco enough to ask the questions! Meaning that perhaps there are people out there who thought HBP was important in the Draco-area...

I know! Although it always sorta worries me when she starts giving out information about Draco, because I've always taken the lack of information to mean his role is this big, surprising thing she's keeping under wraps. But I guess the stuff she's releasing is stuff that's sort of already been released to some extent - his wand wood just goes to corroborate a lot of characteristics we're beginning to see, and she didn't give us its core. Which I don't think was an accident ( ... )

well, I could say it's all about hard work and proving your metal instead of simply being anointed with talent, but perhaps that's unfair...:P

LOL, I think it's totally fair. Although naturally, hard work never quite matches up with divine blessings in this series. >:(

Although, of course I-Am-Full-Of-Compassion Harry seems to have a lot of trouble grasping this, where I guess someone a bit more sensitive and more used to being overlooked like Draco wouldn't.Yeah, I think Harry has compassion, but it has to be related to himself in some way, like how he can feel sorry for Luna for both her bereavement and her social situation once he knows she's been bereaved like him, or how he can emphasise with Ron on the train because he hasn't been provided for materially up until that point (although the sympathy always feels compromised because either the narrator makes it clear or else it's evident for the reader that situations are usually different for Harry ie. that his pain is always more important than other people's - love that ( ... )

Ooh, I love the information about the properties of Draco’s wand! I’m now genuinely excited about HP too!

I thought Tonks was a Slytherin, too. I thought it would have been great to have a Slytherin who’s an Auror and who Harry actually likes, and I imagined there actually was some canon to suggest that she might be a Slytherin. Oh well, I was wrong about that, but Hufflepuff’s okay and I’m so happy that she’s not yet another Gryffindor!

I totally thought she was a Slytherin, I'm not gonna lie. I mean...ok, she's very eager, but at the same time...she seemed like such a crafty person. At any rate, though, Hufflepuff is a great deal better than Gryffindor and a great deal closer to Slytherin, actually, so...I feel satisfied. But yeah, it would have been cool to have this closet Slytherin Harry had always admired and to see him have to deal with that.

Draco's wand! How many sites have I looked stuff up on about the properties of Hawthorn now? Too many to count! And we still don't know the core. She didn't tell us that, so maybe it's a surprise. ^^
