Writing Challenge: Saying Goodbye

Sep 14, 2013 12:05

So since this is the final challenge for the community, I wanted it to be a writing one, but one that would "take us out with a bang".  And that is saying goodbye.

You can take this a couple of different ways; you can either have two characters saying goodbye (for either the day, the night, or a lifetime), or you can talk about "the day" that you realized you've let go of the Stargate fandom.  So fiction or meta - your choice.

Some ideas could be Jack saying goodbye to Daniel as Jack heads to a meeting, or Elizabeth Weir, in her own quiet, private way, saying goodbye to Simon on the last night they spend together on Earth before she heads to Antarctica, knowing she may never come back ever again.  You can interpret this any way that you want!  From hope to heartbreak - the field is wide open.

Story should be a minimum of 100 words, and are due by September 28th.  You can post it on your own private LJ (with permissions for the public to read it) or over on AO3.  Just make sure to link it from here!
