In my world, you could say we have two New Year's celebrations. One is according to the calendar used most commonly, and one is according to the lunar calendar that was traditional in my country for many centuries.

You live in Destiny Islands, right? I haven't had a chance to see very much of them. It'd be nice to visit; we could go somewhere together so you wouldn't have to go to the trouble of entertaining.

That's right. I have been going to the school there.

I don't really mind entertaining. I am actually very good at cooking. I am better at that than magic... but they do have a cafeteria and a few restaurants around if you want to try out some of the local food.

[Ami keeps herself from saying she remembers trying magic together. It... hadn't exactly gone as expected, but at least it had turned out alright.]

If you'd like that, I think it would be fun to join you and sample the local cuisine. New experiences are one of the benefits of our situation.

[The one odd thing Ami hasn't questioned, of course, is that Sae talks to her stuffed animals. (Ami's been known to use formal Japanese with ones she hasn't seen before.)]

And Jeffy, too. [Which makes it easy to half-jokingly include Jeffy in the plans.] He must be very special to you.

[She giggles a bit as she holds the little guy up to the camera. ]

[She is joking too. Jeffy obviously can't speak back to agree to that statement. ]

Jeffy gave him to me, once when I was feeling very alone. And I know he will always be looking out for me.

[A bit confusing there. Jeffy the magician gave Jeffy the Teddy Bear to Sae when she was a child to make her feel better. ^^]
