get back in the kitchen and make me some pie

Three weeks feels like an incredibly long time, but then I think about how it's been a whole week since the last time I could post, and it doesn't feel so long after all ( Read more... )

I'm not going to watch Live on Mars because it was something that caught my eye from BBC but I never got to watch their version. If it's been on BBC America, I haven't caught it and I don't know if an American version is going to make it more or less likely that they'll show it.

I always find it delightful when I remember that Betty White is still alive. She's been doing that naughty old lady bit longer than most naughty old ladies have been old but it still works to this day.

FiveThirtyEight makes me feel too comfortable, if there is such a thing. I did see RCP today had Obama at 313. When RCP has it that slanted, it's really hard not to bust out the Yoohoo. Yeah I made a Yoohoo reference for no reason. Damn it, election be done!

BBC America does play the original Life On Mars. Or at least, they ran a marathon on the 5th right before the new version premiered, but it's not on the schedule at the moment. I think there are only a handful of episodes, which means if the American version is successful it'll end up having a lot more eps in the end. I haven't seen it yet either but I'll give this version a few episodes and try to catch the original.

Betty White is the textbook definition of delightful 8D

I totally agree with you about FiveThirtyEight! Even though I know that it's based on as objective information as we possibly have, it's still not going to feel comfortable until the votes are counted. Or at least, until the last debate's over.

I turned on the TV as soon as I got home and the debate was already over and they were breaking it down. I was like who in the hell is Joe the plumber?

If you want a break from the nasty side of the election, this stuff is killer. I'm trying to find more videos.

For a little while, that roast was reminding me why there was a time I found John McCain likable. Then he went back to the nastiness.

I do enjoy knowing that Olbermann gets under the guy's skin 8D
