Losing Patience

I hid one of Chris’ friends from my newsfeed on Facebook. Now I don’t have to see his constant stream of status and photo updates. I hid David a few days ago. I wish I’d known about this “hide” feature months ago; it makes that constant refreshing I do at Facebook infinitely less painful ( Read more... )

I feel like Chris is like the blister that won't go away when you wear your favorite shoes every single day. The shoes may be fashionable and really comfortable, but there's that one spot that always develops a blister no matter what you do.

The only way for that blister to heal is to stop wearing those shoes.

I say block him entirely and permanently. Screw 'just being friends'. Are you better off with his guilt trips and ultimatums in your life? Do you sleep better at night after he tells you to shut the f up?

You already know that you're better off without him, so ditch the pleasantries. The less you are reminded of him and his presence, the less chance you have of slipping back into old ways.

BTW, I am SO proud of you. Keep up the good work.

I love how everything with Chris is fine, as long as it's on his terms. As soon as you turn the tables, he flips out. Blah. And honestly, I don't think it's fair of him to try and apologize later - in my world, you can't make up for behaving like that. I always felt like with my ex, that was when he was at his truest, when he was pushed into saying what was really on his mind. And I don't really like when someone is mean, maybe I'm crazy.

It totally sucks that the Czech guy sent you that message, but I did laugh at his rationalization. What kind of conversation can you really have if you need to go to babelfish constantly, lol.
