Magical! (And possibly TMI)

Dec 04, 2006 14:57

More than a year ago, I noticed a small bump on the top of my head--directly in the center and about an inch above my hairline. I thought it might be a pimple, but it never went away. It just sat there, this little bump on my scalp, not painful and not doing any harm ( Read more... )

While I am certainly disappointed that you are not, in fact, becoming a unicorn, I am glad you are no longer lump-headed. Congrats on that!

I would have made a kick-ass unicorn, killing mimes and businessmen alike:

Mine was right *here* (pointing to a spot about an inch back from the hairline and off to the right side). Hearing the cutting was the WORST. But you know what topped that? Having the doctor listen (and sing to) Babs the whole time.

Now explain to me the logic in this: they used CLEAR floss/thread/whatever to close up my head, but they used purple (yes, purple) to close up the one they removed from my cheek. Did I mention that I was in high school? Oh, how sexeh that was. Rawr.

May the 48 hours pass quickly. A fine excuse to wear a head scarf or hat!

Have you had more than two? I have a feeling there'll be more in my future (the doctor didn't say this, I just have figure it's bound to happen); I wonder what I can do to prevent them.

Sorry you had to listen to Babs. Maybe it was supposed to be soothing. :)

I have had just those two - and both were removed over 10 years ago now. Woo-hoo! Although, I can still feel a little bump where the one on top of my head used to be. It could just be my imagination, though. The cheek one hasn't shown any signs of coming back and none have popped up anywhere else. :)

That's good! I hope this will be my only one, then. And I hope I don't still have a bump on my head, although I was worried that I wouldn't be able to grow hair there after they diced me up, so a small bump isn't such a big deal.

Meep. Not so much enjoying the "hearing" of things...I can see a lot of grossness and not be affected but the noises get me every time.

And, you know, my icon is not a statement about you so much as the cyst-ick...and I don't get a chance to use it much. :D

Haha, I'm not offended by the "ew." It's a pretty "ew" situation, I must admit. And hearing her cutting my scalp was just weird. I thought it was a little cool, though, actually. ;)

No, they did not! They were carrying it around the office when I checked out and left. I thought it'd probably go in some biohazzard waste bin, but that doesn't explain why they put it in a little jar. Maybe test to make sure it wasn't harmful or some new parasite sprouting from my head?

I think I would've been too embarrassed to ask for it, but, like, when I'm famous, that could go for a lot of money on Ebay.

Haha, I think I grossed you out a little. ;)

Nah, not grossed me out like gonna puke...more like worried me for your health. The only thing that really grosses me out is vomit, but I hate strange things in bodies that are relatively unexplained like that. I mean, wtf is it doing in your head!

Just think of it as a clogged pore. My head oils couldn't get out!
