This was beautifully written. Is Cory an ex-boyfriend?

Thanks, Emily. This means a lot coming from you.

Cory is an old friend who I always wanted to date but never dated. He was in a relationship virtually the entire time we were friends. Then I contacted him out of the blue about a year and a half ago to see if he was all right and because I do weird things like that. We exchanged letters and then it eventually stopped. He never returned my last letter but, in fairness, I had given the impression that I was writing in a hurry and would send another letter soon. Who was wrong? It could be either of us, but Leon thinks it was me.

I do? I don't remember making that judgement, but I can't remember how your letter went, either. Sorry.

It wasn't really the content of the letter. You just said that I wasn't there for him when he needed me and, of course, you were right.

Thanks, Kristen. Such nice comments I have received today (yes, I sound like Yoda--you wanna make something of it? :P).

I guess I felt kinda sad when I wrote it. I still feel kinda sad, but these things pass eventually.

I realize that his only meaning in my life is meaning that I have given him and could easily take back. It just never seems that simple.

Ah.

Nicely done. I don't know your relationship to this guy, but it reminds me of James (not just because Cory wore black). And (more importantly) it was just perfectly written. May I put this entry in my memories?

Thanks for it.

Absolutely! And you remind me that I still owe you a response to that very long comment you made about weight loss. Yes, I read it all but not at a time when I could adequately dedicate the time to respond. I'm almost to my lunch break, though...

Long, long comments take a while to digest, I've found. Take your time!
