At this point in time, I have Brazzle Dazzle Day from Pete's Dragon stuck in my head, and it's been there for a couple days now. I think I'll never be able to think of Pete's Dragon or any of the songs without thinking of Victoria also. Dunno about price difference, which may be significant, but if you'd rather not pass through Canada because of passport hassles, you could take the Alaska Marine Highway ferry from Washington to Haines, and you'd just drive on to the ferry and drive off it again in Alaska, and...have to drive like a week from there including time through Canada. Forgot about that. Okay, then, not so helpful. I don't think they stop in Anchorage, so...yeah, never mind.

Was the bat seen again?

What would you like to see/do on the trip?

You can also get a passcard now for $45 that will let you into neighboring countries; supposedly there is a little fear that Big Brother of the non Ted variety will ("impersonally") watch you (http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_card/ppt_card_3926.html).

It is sad to have people go and know that a time has ended and that paths may not intersect for a long time.

How is Maine in the 2nd week of July?

1) Eh, that was Katherine.
2) It may not be sad if this happens with some. But that did not seem to be the case here.

For the trip, I want to visit folks that I'd otherwise not see. I want to take photos that match photos taken decades ago by my grandfather.

July: The rain in Maine sustains my disdain. But at least it's not hot.
