If you decide to add a general animal transformation category I have a long list of recs to give. This is the only one that has a spiritual aspect to it.
so far we added transformations either to shapeshifters or cursed animals. If it is a transformation willed by the person transforming it is a shapeshifter (we do not stay in the very enclosed space of SPN lore there but added transformations of all kind that are willed by the person themselves.) If you click on the Tag 'Transformation' it automatically refers you to the Shapeshifters. We can not include all sub-versions in the post titles because that would be endless, so I tried to tag the entries so if you are not sure where the things belong, you can check the tags for them or similar/closely related topics.
Involuntary transformations of any kind as well as animal spirits (the Indian lore kind e.g.) are in this category.

In reference to transformations I actually was referring to animal transformations, mostly through a curse. Those I have a lot of in my memories, which is what I'm pulling all my recs from.
