Omegas are herded into concentration camps by a certain group of people. Jared was taken when he was 10 years old and branded and collared a pleasure slave, as he was still young enough to be taught new tricks. He remembers his own parents telling him how alphas were born to protect omegas, and that the empathic bond between soulmates is absolute. But for the next 9 years he learns a lot growing up, pleasing alphas--it helps to learn their preferences, after all. And the more time he spends as a slave, the more he brushes aside his fantasies and does what he can to survive in camp. But Jared's survival routine is uprooted when a new alpha takes charge of the camp and takes special interest in him
