[GOOD EVENING, SPLENDOR, THIS IS YE OLDE COME MEET/VISIT MY CHARACTER POST. Especially (BUT NOT ONLY) if yours has been promoted to a Star some time ago
( Read more... )
[Arabia himself has a great affinity to the stars shimmering above the water. He had been born in the City of the Sea, all soft white stone, smoothed out by the wind, warmed by the sun. He had been taken at the edge of a lake, beneath a full pale moon and all these auspices are writ into his skin and the magic beneath it.]
[He lies on the sand, arms neatly crossed behind his head. His shoes were left behind, for obvious reasons. There's something very soothing about how cool and soft it becomes at this time of night, and he likes to curl his toes on the sand and dig his feet into it. He then places one ankle over his folded leg and sways it to the rhythm a quiet tune given to him by his Sea. He could sing himself to sleep after recounting all of the stars above, really, but his attention is slightly redirected towards the moon tonight -- there's a subtle change in it that he can't quite place...
Milen hears footsteps and tilts his head to see who approaches. There's an inquiring squint before he pushes himself up, leaning back on his elbows, shaking his fringe off his eyes. He should probably get himself a haircut soon, but that's something Tom would've mentioned to him back home before Milen ever even noticed its length.]
[He glances at the sound of his name, eyes catching the light. There's a reason his brother and his mother have always referred to him as a jewel, he glimmers in the moonlight.]
[He's sitting up straight now, wiping the sand off his hands before clasping them around his knees. Shaking his hair off his face is becoming a habit.]
I didn't expect to see you here. [He smiles with that reply; it's a pleasant surprise. The dogs then come to mind.] Are you alone?

[Superboy's been at the beach a lot himself lately. His friend Kaldur had been teaching him how to move surrounded by water, but he'd always been kind of an overachiever. So swimming on himself every night was it.
he's used to being alone on those, so he might look kind of surprised to find Milen at the beach, too. He won't speak first though, forever socially awkward.]
[Milen is done with the swimming for today, he figures, resting on the sand with his hands clasped around folded legs. His hair and clothes aren't quite dry yet, so he takes the opportunity to wait and watch the sunset while he finishes the wait, probably thinking about what he'll have for dinner tonight.
It'd be hard to miss Superboy's figure walking alone, even in the distance, so Milen watches him uncompromisingly, maybe smiling with some curiosity in his eyes. Once he feels enough time has passed, he offers a little, friendly wave.]
[He hums... then waves back at him, coming closer. It's a nice night, cold but not freezing and the water is kind of calm... so he gets why would somebody want to rest a bit in here. He's still used to being alone at this time.]
Hi. [A simple greeting in return, but Milen is a simple boy. One of the crystals of his own necklace is already glowing, very faintly, barely noticeable.] I don't think I've seen you here before.
[THIS star is pretty desperate for anything to do, that she's decided to bypass simple wishing for he wants and is going out to GET IT.
until she gets so sick and bored of that she has to blow something up.
so she's got a makeshift fishing rod, lineless, over her shoulder as she trudges along sans bulky armor and cape. or...any of the usual attire. it's too hot for that on the beach! sundress, please! and hat. she can wish for that, okay.
too bad she can't wish to fill it out and look less of a twelve-year-old girl...]
[Lalala another day spent swimming. He's gone too far again; Milen gets too enthusiastic about going further into the ocean until the currents encourage him to make his way back to shore. He usually brings back a friend when that happens -- this time a small octopus thought his hair color was appealing and wrapped its tentacles around his head ever since. It's not actually doing anything beyond feeling attached to the boy, and said boy doesn't seem to find this very unpleasant, either, standing on the sand with his shoulders above the water.
WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT FINE GENTLEMAN WALKING ON THE BEACH IN A DRESS
[she's no mind-reader, thankfully, so nobody dies for their innocent train of thought.
yet.
she's marching along the sand barefoot, humming her own tune with a few food, food, food!s thrown in for a chorus, one hand holding her hat safely in place versus the wind as she gets close to the lonely pier.
as she's going:] Ah, that's right...
[and then there's suddenly a cute little wicker basket slung on her arm as she goes. need something to carry her fishy loot in, after all. the humming continues.]
[She becomes more and more familiar as she walks along... and it's the way she mutters to herself that lights the bulb.
He whips his head downwards, grabbing his necklace to check. One of the marks is glowing very, very faintly, and it's even harder to tell under all this sunlight, but Milen still smiles brightly and makes his way out of the water, tiny octopus comfortably wrapped around his head. I'M COMING AFTER YOU LINAaaa]
[The beach doesn't really belong to usually places Riku can be found at night (or any time of the day for that matter), but tonight there he is feeling a certain draw to it - quite possibly due his recent camp-out there with Sora. Eventually he climbs on top of the ship wreck, looking up towards the stars, hoping to find Destiny Islands somewhere among them (even though he has looked more than once in the past six months and never found it).]
[There's the sound of footsteps on old wood after a few good minutes, rushed and exploratory. Milen can be seen moments after that, looking like the opposite of his usual, relaxed self, eyes watching and looking out for something on the floor.]
sorry, so late orzjustabignobodyJuly 10 2011, 11:38:33 UTC
[Riku turns his head at the sound, tensing slightly as he assesses the figure before him. After a moment, when he doesn't smell any darkness beyond what is usual for a normal person, he relaxes and crooks his head just slightly.]
[Milen jumps a little, whipping his head in Riku's direction, squinting a little to make out the figure watching him.]
--oh. Uhm. Hello. [he straightens up, wiping his hands on his pants and shaking his hair off his face, still visibly nervous.] I was just looking for something. I think I dropped it here.
