Kakashi grinned. "Well, I better get the ceiling then, don't think that you could reach it." he teased.
"We need two things first," he said, pursing his lips, "We need to set up a few traps I think. Then we need to get some cleaning materials, because I certainly don't have a mop hidden in a scroll." Glancing out the window, his finger tapped twice on the sill before pointing out of the window.
"Perfect." he said smiling, "Dumpster diving."
Haku sent Kakashi a mock glare. "Just because you're taller doesn't mean that I can't reach the ceiling." He tapped his chin thoughtfully as he listened to the suggestion. "Yes, that would work. I think we can find rags, mops, and cleaning solutions in one of the stores we passed by earlier... what about the dumpster?"
"Well, I figure since everything is so dman expensive, that we should be able to save anything for bartering when we need something really important." Kakashi shrugged. "Besides, you would be surprised at what people throw away. We might be able to find some furniture even."
Those were really good points there. A strange thought came to him: whole city was actually similar to a dumpster in a way that everything here looked abandoned. How... nostalgic. "You're right." Haku glanced out the window. "Interesting things turn up in unexpected places."
"Abdonded stores. Hmm." Kakashi smiled sheepishly. "A little more pleasant than the dumpster. We should proabably check out both. Another thing we should do is make an invetory of everything we have. See whats of value, and whats not."
"You're good at this, Kakashi-san." Haku walked over to the nearby table and dusted part of its surface with a hand before laying his mask on in. "Shall we start with the tally?"
"Sounds good to me." Kakashi emptied all his pockets and his small pack, placing them on the table. Soon the table was covered with several kunai and shuriken, a small med pack, a couple of ration bars, his katana and chraka knife. He motioned Haku to do the same.
A bundle of rolled cloth lined with needles was extracted from his sleeves and put on the table, followed by kunai, several small bottles of dried herbs, hair sticks, a few rolls of bandages, and a money pouch. Haku smiled morosely when he picked up one of the emptier medicine vials. "I really should have gathered more of this."
"I think throwing weapons like my kunai, and your needles are things we're going to have to keep. We probably have to trade to somehow get more of them. We should be able to trade medicines, but keep the most potent ones for ourselves." Kakashi pulled out seven solider pills, three chraka restoratives and a few vials of a narcotic. "We should keep these, but trade the more basic stuff. Are you any good with healing jutsu?" he asked, looking at Haku "because I'm terrible at it."
"A bit, but of course not as well as a trained medic-nin." It was necessary for him to know at least the basics, or otherwise he and Zabuza would have been in trouble.
"Thats good at least, makes the need for medical stuff less pressing." Kakashi frowned, tapping the side of his face. "It would proabably be a good idea for you to learn how to a sword, or something similar, because its going to be hard to keep on replacing those needles."
"I guess." He unrolled the pack of needles to see how many were left. It was remarkably full, given that he came from a fight before this... shift, but this too would change. Haku turned to Kakashi with a smile, though is eyes were devoid of emotion. "Whatever you think is necessary, Kakashi-san."
"We just need to do in order to survive." Kakashi said, in response to Haku's decidedly cool reaction. "I'm not asking you to give up your needles, just asking you to learn a skill that will definently help you here." Kakashi shrugged "You can use both, but you'll need a back up then the needles run out."
"It's not that," murmured Haku, shaking his head and looking elsewhere when he couldn't look at Kakashi anymore. He turned to the window when he couldn't find anything else to stare at. "These skills are needed to survive, that's true, but I admit that I have very little motivation to learn right now."
