Just a sip of whine...

I think the reason I'm not doing any work is because I'm so daunted by the prospect. I have shit-loads of essays to do, a ton of research, and we have less than two weeks to do all of our development for Art. That is twenty hours of work, experimenting and incorporating with different mediums-- it makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.

How did the drive go? And I'm bitter too about everyone else getting jobs, if it makes you feel better Fran, I haven't got a job yet :p. I've handed in one or two application forms though. I've never had an interview in my life. People just seem to ignore me ( ... )

Sound like an adventure!

Grah, try fifteen application forms over a period of five months. That starts getting you wondering what's wrong with you! But at least I'm not alone in my boat *hugs* Laura mentioned you might be trying for the co-op vacancy :)

Believe me, tight turns in a car warrant more than steering. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching Wimbledon-- driving would be easier with eyes in the back of my head and in place of my ears.

Can't you do tight turns like Trinity in The Matrix? That would be way cool! :D

On the way to Rosie's (and to a small extent back, but I was worried because it kept feeling like my back tire was slipping cos the roads were wet) I decided to be a steering guru and was countersteering all the way there and back :) just like the racetrack riders do. It's funny when you go round a small corner at speed whilst leaning in like nobodies business. Countersteering is strange. If you steer the wrong way, it will make you go the right way.

And I handed a CV in at the co op but they were out of application forms, I said I heard there was a vacancy coming up and the guy didn't know anything about it so I just dropped Laura in it there :p.

The problem in a bike is not tight turns per se, because you just slow down like normal, but it's when you're already in a turn, and realise you're not turning fast enough and you have an 'oh shite' moment. Either panic brake, and die, or do nothing, and die. :(. It's happened to me more than once already! (not the dying, the turn getting sharper halfway through.
