I had big plans to start editing the epic novel of werewolves and other fantastical things today. That didn't quite happen. However, much to my delight, jotting down the first couple of lines of a new story turned into 1500+ words. I'm not going to complain about that. Oh, and by "1500+ words" I mean 1504. Right on!

Today I got up early, cursed on Twitter (Fuck you, 6:30!), went to Hailey's soccer game, went to the new Halloween store, finished a book, wrote up some bookish things, napped, got dinner for Cole and his friend, went to two more Halloween stores and checked out the costumes at WalMart. Success! Of a sort. I finished my novel. I did. However, I'm supremely unhappy with a few things in the final couple of pages. The problem is that I can't think of another way to write it. So, I'm going to put it aside for a few days and come back to it on Monday and hopefully have a bit of inspiration when I re-read the last few chapters ( Read more... )

I have one more day to finish my epic werewolf novel before I lose the chance to treat myself to a Kindle book. ONE DAY! I've written a few hundred words today but I refuse to post my word count until tomorrow. I refuse.

Uggh. I'm tired all of a sudden. I had back to school night for Cole earlier and his teacher talks alarmingly fast. Like, I had trouble keeping up with her word flow. On the other hand, I got a compliment on my awesome over the knee socks. Rock on!

I did a whole lot of nothing today because I was exxxxcccccited about seeing Resident Evil: Afterlife (which I will henceforth refer to as RE4). Cole decided he wanted to see it, so I had to wait until he was out of school, but we did the whole 3D thing and it was fun!

Umm, when did it get to be night? Seriously. How did that happen? Besides the rotation of the earth and all that. Gosh, I feel like I've had a spectacularly uneventful day. I didn't write, although I did open up Word. That must count for something. I played around on my book review site, but I really didn't do much. Interesting.
