I would like to start a fanfic myself, but the characterization would be hard for me as well, so I can totally see why it is difficult for you. I think just as long as it isn't /too/ OOC, you should be fine. :D You seem to grasp onto the characterization quite well anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem. ^^
Again, I'm interested to see your next chapter. The spoiler tags are making me curious! xD

It's sort of an unspoken etiquette code on LJ to keep your fic posts simple and to the point. (That means a minimum of extra text besides the actual story.) There's no need for long author's notes when you can chat with everybody in the comments, you know? They just clutter things up. ^^
You've got the information table worked out, which is good. If you really want to catch people's interest, keep your author's notes down to one or two punchy sentences, and add an LJ-cut containing the story...and call it good. There are lots of excellent examples posted to this comm already.
I promise, paring down the frills will get your stories more respect immediately. As traditionally foolish as it is, plenty of people do judge a story by its "cover". ^^;
