Entry #A-3: "Ask" [December 21st] [Text, Action]

Oct 11, 2011 16:58

[It's been ten days since L found out his weapon form and went through his first disastrous attempt to resonate with someone. Both processes left him a little tattered around the edges, and though he hasn't consciously decided to avoid people and practice a little more caution since then, he has been doing so. In fact, he hasn't even left his ( Read more... )

[She's mildly intreuged by this person; it seems like generally people looking for partners are willing to experiment with anybody who's available, but clearly that's not always the case. And how did they come to these criteria in particular?]

Is being able to drive a car that important?

[L happens to be mildly intriguing, even when he's trying his hardest to be rather on the dull side.]

Not as important as the baking, no.

That's good to know, since some of us only know how to ride broomsticks. [She says that as though it's the most natural thing in the world.]

In a literal sense?

Or... I don't suppose you use a broomstick to apply hallucinogenic drugs to mucous membranes? Specifically your vagina? Are you "riding a broomstick" right now?

[And even though this is horribly vulgar, there is absolutely nothing in his tone to suggest he knows it.]

This sounds like an advertisement for a partner. [deadpan, but amused]

Isn't that exactly what it is?

Are you looking for a partner to fight with or something more long term?

I don't see why they should be mutually exclusive...

[he sounds, if anything, personally offended. and, of course, demanding.]

Baking?

[If anything, that tone of voice is definitely hilarious, given the subject matter...]

Yes, that's right. Do you have something against it?

[it actually very much was. but, anyhow.]

How does that attribute to a "good Meister?"

It's simple, really. I think that to resonate well with someone, they have to be willing to take care of me to some extent. I am not a nurturer, but I need one.

Yer takin' all this a bit seriously, aren't ya?

Anything that affects me in the long term is something to be taken seriously, I think. I can't imagine that many would disagree with that line of thought.

Yer plannin' on bein' stuck here for the long term?

I plan on nothing. The very nature of BREW somewhat prevents even an educated guess.

But I prepare.

[Bold leans in, elbows on the table and chin in hand]

Too bad we're not a meister. We can do just about all of those things. 'Cept drive.

[A pause and she grins, slow and wicked] Lain has the soothing voice and is calm. And she's responsible. Guess I don't fit all of those, though~

[But Bold just laughs, not bothered] Lain makes sweets all the time though. She'll make you some, if you want.

I would like that, if Lain wouldn't be bothered despite our inherent uselessness to each other.

Nah, she won't mind. She likes doing it. Says it gives her something else to do during the day 'sides work on computers.

What's your favorite sweet thing to eat?

...That's rather an unfair question. It's also subject to change.

For instance, today my favorite sweet thing to eat is definitely tiramisu.

Tomorrow it could well be creme brulee. The following day it could be jello, or marshmallows, or chocolate cake with ice cream, or sugar straight from the box.

[Ladies and gentlemen, L, a complicated soul.]
