[She'd say something like, 'looks like I'm back'. Except that should be obvious.]

They told me I'm a Meister now.

[Unfortunately, 'gone' could mean a lot of things.]

So he's been sent home by BREW...

[She looks confused. She still couldn't make the connection, mostly because it was inconceivable to her that Train could possibly die. She's seen him come out of the most dangerous situations and accomplish things everyone said wasn't possible. He was Train Heartnet the assassin turned Sweeper who delivered bad luck, Eve couldn't even imagine a world where he could possibly be dead.]

...then where did he go?

[The reply, when it comes is delayed, and there is something noticeably shaken in her expression.

He can't possibly be implying what she thinks he is because it's not possible.]

[She would appreciate the fact that he didn't keep beating around the bushes later. Right now though...right now, her mind was just completely blank.

She almost misses the reply button because of the way her hands were shaking.]

That's not possible. Train can't be...he's not the kind of person who would die so easily!

[There were tears gathering in her eyes...but they shouldn't be. Because Train isn't dead. He can't be.]

[Because she can't imagine Train dead. As far as she was concerned, Train would probably still be around bothering her even when he was eighty years old.

She would have tried to tell him this if she could, but she couldn't find the words and in a fit of helplessness she hadn't felt since a long time ago she throws the communicator away and weeps.]
