Oh, thank you :). I did a lot of experimenting on the texture, I'm really glad it came out the way it did. And I loved the whole color scheme, too. Thanks for commenting!
Also, I adore your own art and I hope it's ok for you that I just friended you? I'd love to see more of all that pretty. I think both covers for "Traces" are especially gorgeous, by the way. You're really good!
You are too kind. I'm pretty new to digital painting, so my art skills are very much a work-in-progress :). You mentioned drawing the animals on paper (great detail, by the way) - do you have a background in traditional art?
Glad we can mutually share the pretties :D. I think because I've only seen you around the SPN Gen BB, I thought you were a gen only fan. I was ready to warn you about all my slashy (and sometimes kinky) content! But I'm thrilled to see you actually hang around the same water coolers *g*
Wow, your work is even more impressive now that I know you're still new to digital art! Although you can rest assured, it might feel like a work in progress to you, but it certainly doesn't look like it :). Erm, to be perfectly honest though, I'm no expert at it myself so maybe I'm not the best to judge yet. I still love your art, though, and that's what counts, right
( ... )
Wow. I'm so saving that 'gather ' round little ones' pic. That's really gorgeous!I love the lineart you did for the animals, they look rather like constellations in a very ethereal sky. I love the clouds too, they remind me of kenji clouds in Japanese woodwork, and I did think the whole piece has a mystical quality. Great work! (also, the icon with the musical web is delightful)
What a compliment, you totally made me blush there. I'm overjoyed that you like this one, too. It was weeks and weeks of work, but I'm quite satisfied with the outcome, to be honest.

That's *exactly* what I was going for, I'm so glad it translated! Also, feel free to snag that icon if you want; I just added that to the post, too. Now I'm off to another crazy weekend with the Reversebang stuff, yay :).
Wow, I love your thoughtfulness behind the pictures. I read somewhere that you can tell a whole story with a picture and yours definitely tell that story.
Seriously, this is wonderful and I'm impressed with your attention to details and symbolism :)
Awww, what a nice thing of you to say! I'm so happy that the art speaks to you; I was concerned there was too much going on in the main picture, to be honest. So I'm very relieved to hear that it seems to be working :).
Oh, yeah, attention to detail is what almost killed me with this one, because there was just so. Much. To do. Whoever said "go big or go home" clearly didn't intend megalomaniacal minds like mine to latch onto that. Anyway, thank you for your kind comment! ♥.
these are so pretty! very celestial, but not necessary a sky we'd recognize, which seems fitting for a story about angels. i thought the animals were supposed to be constellations too, the way they're outlined. and the banners with the notes are just really cool. it's like a milky way of song.
Thank you so much! It was tricky to come up with something alien enough to work as pre-human heaven and pre-vessel angels that still could somehow be understood universally. And after all those hours it took to tame the line-art, I'm so glad that it's working for you! Time well spent, then.

That sounds like a line from a beautiful poem, what a flattering association to make. Thank you! ♥. Especially seeing that the musical stuff was whipped up pretty much last minute, I'm surprised that you regard it this highly. Surprised but enormously happy. :).
Aww, that's very sweet! Thank you! I also still try to catch up with some RBBs and most BBs, it's just too much to keep up with sometimes, especially when RL gets in the way.
I've also been experimenting to find a masterpost format I like; that might make it easier to actually find things on here, too ;).
