White Day Event Details
Starts: Monday, March 15 (will be backdated)
"Ends": Saturday, March 20
Like last time, technically there's no end date for the auction because the actual auction "event" itself will take place in one designated post and then what happens after that lasts for about a week.
It should be noted that this whole affair is a surprise 8D Your characters will have no clue what hit them |D To save f-lists from being spammed, there will not be an actual IC post from Tamaki. However, it can be assumed that he did announce that the Host Club will have a White Day event. What that means, he won't say. So we can all just assume that part.
WHAT THE HECK.
This event is basically a repeat of the White Day Auction that happened last year. Due to popular demand, it shall happen again! Only with a few different twists to make it not a complete carbon copy.
Basically, all participating men well be "auctioned" off to all the lovely ladies (and...a few gentlemen) of Somarium. Once the men have been "won", hey will have to serve their new masters/mistresses for the remainder of the week just like a host or butler.
Before I continue, I shall repeat what I put on the first one:

Now, read on to learn more on what this event entails.
THE AUCTION
Anyone who is not being sold off will have the ability to bid on any of the available men. Since Somarium still doesn't have any real currency, once again the payment will be in dreams. It's going to function just like it did last time: bidders will be under the illusion that they will have to dream the number they bid. The highest number wins.
However, in truth you only have to make one dream post with a cheesy, romance theme. Think Disney. Of course, this is not revealed until after the auction, and no one will know until the effects wear off.
There is also a Buy It Now option. Every bidder will have one of these, and it will be in the form of a card. Not like the effect cards that float around Somarium. Think more Monopoly.
It is also possible for a bidder to bid/buy more than one guy. However, only one guy to a bidder. That means while a bidder could come out with three different guys, a guy can only belong to one bidder. He cannot be shared by others.
HOW WILL OUR CHARACTER BE ROPED IN?
So you really want your character to participate -- either for the bidding process or to be up for bids -- but you know there is no way in hell they would ICly? Not a problem~
Due to the current situation in Somarium, the Overlord will not have a hand in this event. Instead, Mukuro will be using his grand illusion powers on everyone. He'll either have met them on the street (or passed by them) or...something. But in any event, he will be the mastermind for that.
As for the bidders, they will be lured to the auction through invitations for a special Host Club event. It is purposefully left vague. They will also be hand delivered by Mukuro who will place the illusion on the receiver. At the actual auction, once again Mukuro will use illusions that will tailor to the bidder's needs. I would like to note, some of these will not have been sanctioned by the Host Club.
The effects will wear off at the end of the auction.
IMPORTANT! Characters will NOT, I repeat, NOT recognize Mukuro during this. He will be under disguise, and no one should be able to tell who he is.
WHAT IF NO ONE WANTS ME D8
If it ends up that no one bids for your character, then try asking someone you know! Or pull out and get revenge by deliberately bidding on certain characters to raise up the price and torment the other characters. This is a really good opportunity for CR!
FORMATTING
The auction itself will occur in one giant post, just like last year. The format will be roughly the same, though with some minor adjustments. All the guys will have their own individual thread, complete with a sign that offers a bit of a description of them. In that thread is where all any interactions and bidding will occur. There will also a separate mingling thread.
After that, the couples can spawn their own logs in the lovely Spa Resort~
Wait...SPA RESORT?!
Surprise! Everything is happening at a spa resort that Tamaki and Kyouya have found and essentially taken over. The influx of ghost population really helped in terms of renovation details~
The auction will be held in one of the many conference/ballrooms.
All the winning couples/harems will stay in this spa resort, where the men will have to serve their lovely mistresses/masters. Be it serving food, massages, teaching them to swim, etc., they will have to do it.
Unfortunately, this is an exclusive spa resort, so only the winners will be able to stay.
Couples will of course be allowed outside of the resort.
PAGEANT
That's not all! Around Wednesday/Thursday, there will be a pageant that all the men from the auction will have to participate in~ The will be dressed in all different kinds of outfits that their mistresses/masters will have forced dressed them in.
This has no other purpose than to make them feel stupid. I mean, uh, it's just for fun :Da; We can have an OOC poll vote or just ignore all of that and have everyone just laugh/interact with each other.
While only men from the auction will be participating, this is still open to those who did not participate.
GRAND FINALE
On Saturday, March 20, there will be one final event post that marks the end of the White Day event. It will be a combination of a Spring Concert and a Grand Ball. Everyone will be welcomed, including those who didn't participate in the initial event.
SIGN-UP
So, how do you get involved in this mess? Sign up your character! Sign up closes Sunday, March 14. This is for both subjects and bidders. Those who are signing up their guys to be auctioned off, just list them all in one comment to keep things less cluttered. From there, those with bidding characters can comment and either stake a claim or discuss with others who might to have a bid war over them.
This process is mostly so you don't have to wait for a thread to end and can move on. You can discuss OOCly on who gets who. You can also predetermine how many dreams will be the winning bid so it doesn't get redonkulous. Though even if it is an extremely high number, remember, it will just be at 3. But the characters won't know that until the end of the auction :D
And if they opt for the Buy it Now, another character can STILL contest for it. This would really be more for the lulz and for more entertaining threads, but unless agreed upon, the person who first used the "Buy it Now" option will get the guy.
There is another option! If you want your character to bid on someone, but you have no idea who to go for, you can choose Random. We will then assign you to any of the open/unclaimed slots. Just comment to the post with the characters and "RANDOM" in the subject line, so we can tell it apart from the other comments.
