*Looks up when he hears the firetruck siren, but simply lowers his head again and steps off the road and out of the way. The firetruck can go right past--after all, Danny has no intention of waving them down.*

And suddenly, he bends over, taps on the front windshield and signals Gale to slow down.
Raiden pulls his blade from his sheath and leaps off the side of the fire truck, taking his place beside Danny. He was alert, listening to his surroundings, his lips set in a thin, grim line.]
Stay behind me.

What's out there? *Takes a reluctant step back, and then another, until he's more or less behind the cyborg. For someone who's being protected against a potentially serious threat, he doesn't look very anxious--just worried. Tense.*

He managed to have a level enough head and strong enough grip to twist back and glimpse what the hell they managed to hit - and if his peripheral vision during the crash was any indication, it wasn't anything good.
... Still. When he saw the man scramble back to his feet with a gushing head wound, dashing across the road to keep running from the spiders...
...]
--I'll take the monsters, Snake.
We have to stop him before he loses consciousness.
[His visor snapped into place. He drew his sword and leapt off the now-halted fire engine, ready to take out yet another batch of beasts.]
