[Draco Malfoy's mother was in a sleep coma. This really shouldn't have surprised him as much as it did, but it did; Narcissa was supposed to be perfect, impervious to everything around her. Incapable of being anything less than absolutely pristine, like an angel merely ( Read more... )

Alice hadn't meant to find Draco. She hadn't spoken to him in some time, not in class, not over the network, not anywhere.

It was like a great cavern laid between them. Alice, every time she tried to bridge the gap made a royal mess of everything. And Draco seemed to either not care, not notice, or not have the time to bridge the chasm. She didn't know which one it was for him... she didn't want to know which one.

Maybe they were just growing apart... 'Or maybe he just doesn't like you, maybe he never did,' the nasty voice (which sounded a good deal like him at the moment) whispered in her mind. Alice didn't want to know if what the nasty voice said was true. So when she had gone out to play and she saw Draco (nearly stepped on him is more appropriate) she had every intention of back-peddling before he noticed her. Or before he spoke, whichever she could get away from first

Draco's head was so far up in the clouds that he didn't even register nearly getting stepped upon. Only when Lyra suddenly jumped, skittering off his chest with a dig of her claws, did he actually register anything. Sitting abruptly upright with a noise of pain, grey eyes snapped to Alice, frowning at first, then stopping ( ... )

of course it's childish, Draco, she's 9. madcuriosity October 9 2011, 00:52:35 UTC
She blinked and then blinked again before stopping the urge to look over her shoulder to see if there were some other Alice behind her who hadn't upset Draco in the last two conversations. She stopped just short of that though. Did... some one slip him a pepper up potion? She was rather sure he would have noticed that. Still, Alice wasn't going to complain about his much better mood. Her foot was frozen in mid-step and she set it down. Basil was in one arm whilst her eyes went to the cat.

"Oh, hello, Draco... s-sorry for disturbing you..."

not the point. :U mudbloodhater October 9 2011, 01:07:57 UTC
He raised one eyebrow, wondering when in the world she would stop pussyfooting around him like he would attack and tear her head off at any given moment. "I was merely lying here, Alice. I assure you, I wasn't doing anything so important."

Lyra, meanwhile, had taken to tromping around the grass and sniffing at Alice's feet to figure out who this new person was.

It was only inevitable that, eventually, a certain nation would find their way to where Draco was. Okay, so maybe it wasn't so much inevitable as sheer, dumb luck as Canada had been out, shooing away the occasional random scarecrow while he was out. ...wandering. It was such a nice day out, after all, and he didn't have much at all to do so wandering had seemed like a great idea at the time.

But now there he was, peering down at Draco. "Hmm. Now what do we have here, eh?"

Draco only noticed Canada when the sun disappeared away from warming his face, and Lyra began happily kneading his chest through his sweater. "Ow, Lyra-" he murmured, glancing up from the kitten to the man almost looming above him, if not for how cheerful he was.

"Oh. Erm. Hi."

Standing up straight once more, he moved out of the way so he was no longer blocking the sunlight (or looming for that matter). "Looks like you're having fun." A smile accompanied his words once more.

What was there not to be excited out, after all? It was such a lovely day.

"Can't go wrong with a darling kitten as company. Or really, any company," Draco amended, moving one hand to cradle behind his head. Lyra took to hopping off his chest, wanting to investigate the newcomer and rub her full (and tiny) body against his ankle.

"What brings you round?"

[ Harry was on patrol. At least that was what he had been doing until he caught sight of a familiar tuft of platinum blond lying in a green field. The kitten was a new addition however. He walked over to Draco, a little wary, since it wasn't quite like the grey-eyed boy to be laying around lying in grass looking at clouds, or at least Harry had never known him to. ]

Hey.

[Draco glances up at the familiar voice. Less up, perhaps, and more...backwards. A small smile tugs at his mouth, but he continues to scratch Lyra's ears.]

Hey.

Fancy finding you here.

[ He smiles softly as he looks down at Draco. ]

Never thought you were the type to get your clothes dirty with grass stains.

Mother's asleep, and Father's too concerned with that to care if I get a little grass stain on one of my shirts. I'm a big boy. [he smirks almost amusedly, almost sadly up at Harry, then nods to the grass.]

You in a hurry?

Shiki was busy going around the city doing deliveries for her shop. Ever so often, she gets an order from someone living in the village. She was on her way back to the shop when she spots a familiar figure while driving along the fields. It had been a while since she last talked to Draco. She wasn't even sure if he still remembers her (since he was technically her boss when she was a burlesque dancer).

She pulled her scooter over to the side, taking off her helmet and smoothing her short hair down. After hanging the helmet on the handle bars, Shiki makes her way over to Draco; careful not to rouse the attention of the scarecrows. Once she got closer, she noticed the little kitten he was playing with. That was kind of adorable to see.

"Um... hi there?"

Draco definitely remembered her. At least they had that going for them. Even if his attention wasn't on her in the slightest for the time being, locked firmly on Lyra as she batted at his fingertips; he sighed to himself contently, finally glancing up when he realised he was being spoken to.

"Oh-" He floundered, sitting up slightly, and making sure to scoop Lyra back up, all four of her tiny legs spread wide like she should be standing on air. "Hi."

A sheepish chuckle escaped her, waving a hand at the boy; tucking a short lock of hair behind her ear but it still falls back to the side of her face. Shiki suddenly felt like she was imposing on his privacy but she wanted to try if she could be friends with Draco like how she reconnected with Mille after the moon cycle.

"Um, I wasn't so sure if you remembered me..."

"I remember more than what people give me credit for," Draco replied simply, offering a shrug as he glanced her over. It was interesting to see her in this setting, rather than the darkness of the club he remembered running; it was more of a natural setting by far. But still, that didn't change that it was slightly disconcerting to meet people he thought he once knew.

"Erm. How are you?"
