Don't forget to follow the recommended dieting regimen in the last two weeks. It will be important for a light eater like you, and more so because you are a marathon virgin.
Thy wish is my command sire :-) New post with week 1 updates. I am not currently planning too many 10+ mile days ;-) - I think you were talking about a full marathon there.
for the half-marathon. just a small advise, increase your mileage slowly (1 mile/week), one long run (more than your average) in a week. 3 days/week rest is great.
finally (but not the least), get a PROPER running shoes suited to your foot arch/profile...
btw have my pacific-grove triathlon coming up this weekend, at monterey, ca. should be fun swimming in icy pacific waters :P and ironman in early next year :) :)
