What's even more frustrating is that the last season ended on a huge cliffhanger because they assumed they were coming back. Now we'll never know what happened! Boo.

Yes, I know they were both given the *definitive spoiler*, as me and my mates call it, but in a show with canon AU's there was always the chance they came back. Nooooooooo, indeed. Bastards.
