Amaar...yes. I concur! *g* Although he often needs Rayyan to smack him upside the head. Luckily, she seems to excel at the smacking. Also, the Reverend Magee/Amaar relationship makes me happy. And Yasir/Sarah are too cute. I find I'm liking season 2 much better than 1. I think they finally hit their stride.
I sort of want to the Amaar/Rayyan thing to break out in hot chaste religious romance. (Also, I am culturally curious: what does hot chaste religious romance look like?)

This episode broke my previous "holy crap!" record by about six. I can't beeeleeeve that Doakes broke in and found the slides. Holy Crap! I bet that Lundy and Deb never even got to the steak florentine. Holy Crap! OMG, Dexter left the body, etc., and went to Rita's. Holy Crap! Lila. Holy Crap!
we've been squeeing all night. our theory re Doakes is that dexter will not have to kill Doakes but he will be the primary suspect as the Bay Harbor Butcher and end up getting killed by his fellow cops. and any evidence that points to dexter will be blamed on his dexter fixation.

I think you're right about Doakes getting blamed for the murders. If he went to prison, he'd rant & rave about Dexter, so I think you're also right about him dying (not by Dexter's hand). He already looks unstable to everyone else. If so, I'll be sad to see him go because I always thought he was interesting & a good foil to Dexter.
Yeah, the more I think about it, I think you're right. He might just become the main suspect, without Dexter actually framing him, though. I think he's also a dead man, possibly shot by other cops or something, like morgandawn suggested.
That makes me sad. I'll miss him calling Dexter a fucking freak & psycho. :(
