Cally woke up, and slipped out of her bed. She stretched her arms and let out an inaudible yawn. She paused. She attempted to say hi to Annette.

Nothing happened.

That would be Cally's eyes bugging, because she instantly assumed that the heart-stealing demons were back. So she started flailing in a useless manner.
