Okay. I saw Harry Potter last night, along with millions of other people across the world last night. For just the midnight showings in the US alone, the movie made over 43 million dollars. Woah. It's a new record. :)

We have a lot of the same thoughts about the movie, reading this. Overall I loved it, but some of the things you bought up as not caring for, I agree with, even if mostly I usually try and ignore for my own sanity and movie watching enjoyement, lol
I think having Voldemort actually die and leave his body behind, would have been much more fitting for his story, and followed by a huge celebration like in the books, even if just in the background, while Harry escape's for peace and quiet.

The escape on the dragon being Hermione's idea
I actually kind of liked that, because it's so not usual Hermione. It was such a Gryffindor thing to do.
Harry saying 'he knew' he was Horcrux 'for a while.'I also kind of liked that. To me, it makes so much more sense that at least Hermione had been afraid of it for a while. I mean, they explore so many possibilities in their search for the Horcruxes, it seemed odd to me that they wouldn't even consider ( ... )
