I thought I'd write something to refute the first part of your entry, but I'm baffled but it's utter pointlessness. I mean, if someone listens to a song and it's not about them but they think it is, it just means they're not really listening.

Sometimes it just means that they are listening to the music and interpreting its sound before actually understanding the lyrics. As a person who is quite bad at deciphering lyrics, I tend to do this often.

people whose feelings are incommodious because of their sexual orientation irritate me. over-sensitivity and myopic emotional responses in general are just as troublesome as (if not moreso than) apathetic and stolid behaviour. anyone who is not capable of discerning meaning and intent (aside from those who are mentally challenged) deserves no pity, as far as i'm concerned.

"don't be like that, he's sensitive."
"i'm sensitive too. i'll send his mom flowers when he dies of grief and embarrassment."
