Depends on where you're from. In some places, it's a day to honor and celebrate the love between couples... or sometimes just give people you love or youf friends presents and chocolates.

In Japan, where I'm from, girls give boys chocolates on Valentine's Day. During White Day, boys give girls who gave them presents something in return.
