I had noticed before that I would sigh and roll my eyes at female teenage heroines in stories, but now I've hit that age where I go beyond annoyed and go right into flabbergasted and maybe even a bit angry.

Either YA writers have gotten more infuriating in character and bad choice development, or I've just gotten older. It's likely a combination ( Read more... )

Currently, I'm not reading anything. I had this thought some time ago and I just remembered it. There have been a couple of books that have been a bit cringe worthy, but the one that made me think this was Mortal Instruments.

I mean seeing as that was a Dramione fanfiction she turned into a book, I wouldn't expect too much of it LOLOL!

Yeaaaaah. I read that book once through before and it was... bearable, but I'm listening to the audiobook this time around and it's just.... -twitch-

I don't know why I'm surprised that she was the straw. I'd noticed it before though.

Like, School of Good and Evil is irking my ass quite a bit. I had to put that one down.
