Two big posts for one of these days have been 95% complete for more than a week, but rather than finish them up, a slice of life and an argument against someone who isn't listening. Bah, take the Vicodin. It's not nearly as overwhelming as people say, and I'm told having your wisdom teeth out is awful.

Well, like I said, if it turns out to be uber-nasty, I can pick it up on the way back. I think. Just-in-time medication, if you will.

Very large quantities of ibuprofen also work reasonably well, IME, except for that first evening after the real anesthetic wore off and various bits of flesh noticed how much they'd just been stabbed and sliced at.

Resisting the urge to mention that you'll soon be coming in on Saturdays. Then Sundays. Then losing your red stapler.

Anyway, having had my wisdom teeth out, I'd come down squarely on the side of some sort of medication. I actually don't remember now how much I took, but considering how crappy my next week was, I don't think it would hurt. (Pun intended)

That said, of course, I'd be curious to know if the experience is doable without the medication. Good luck.
