yes, that left me boggling and somewhat alarmed as well. It's not like I *want* to be paying the guy's turbo pension out of my tax money, but I *really* don't like that sentence!

1 ) The MInister in question is female
2 ) The Minister is saying that they disagree with the pension payout agreement, and in essence will circumnavigate the law to prevent it.

Disagreeing a thing is valid, retro-actively changing law to prevent (or infact choosing to *ignore* current law) is not.

I am *deeply* worried at living in a country where those in power can even say something like this and not get challeneged by the general media. The Law isn't a thing of a convinence, it cannot work that way, the same laws have to apply to everyone.

Fudging contract law could have all sorts of unforseen spiralling consequences...
