Summary: Don gets called to the haunted monastery and the team ends up meeting the Brothers Winchester.
Author's Notes: I have started a new series/universe. This is set long before the Pilot to Supernatural...I have taken some liberties with the timelines, in order to make everything fit how I want. Many, many thanks to Kathie and Ginny who kept telling me this doesn't suck and that I shouldn't delete it. There will be more, episode bases fics that revolve around the show Supernatural, with an occasional interlude thrown in where the boys get back together. I hope you all enjoy...and tell me? Do you want more? Or should I stop here?

"The 411 gets calls all the time about suspicious activity," Don insisted as Danny and Stella stared at him before laughing. He straightened his jacket, shifted his umbrella and returned their glare.
"You smell that Stel?" Danny teased good-naturedly.
"Yeah, reminds me of chicken," She teased back just as a black Impala wheeled up next to them. As two men got out and walked towards them, Don found himself staring a bit too long at the shorter man.
"Greg Allman and this is my partner John Fogerty." The shorter man said holding his hand out to Don.
"Detective Don Flack, Detective Stella Bonasera and Detective Danny Messer. I'm sorry, but you're going to have to step behind the crime scene tape," Don replied, shaking their hands and trying his best to be polite.
"Forgive my partner," John answered, "But we're US Marshalls and we were called here to check out the scene, after you all of course." John continued smiling brightly at the three of them.
Don instantly felt his guard go up. Something was wrong about these two men, he just couldn't place his finger on it was.
"Wait here," he growled and turned to face Stella and Danny. In a much quieter voice, he motioned over his shoulder with one hand, "You two go on in, I'm gonna stand here and keep an eye on these two."
"Something wrong?" Danny asked his voice barely above a whisper.
"I'm not sure." Stella nodded and followed Danny into the abandoned monastery.
"You don't believe us," Greg stated leaning against his car.
"No."
"I told you this was a bad idea," John grumbled under his breath.
"Who are you really?" Don asked catching the tale end of James' statement and placing his hand on the butt of his gun.
"You wouldn't believe us."
"Try me or you're not setting one foot in this monastery. You'll be setting both feet in jail."
"Name's Dean Winchester," Greg replied. "And this is my brother Sam."
"That I believe." Don nodded absently, focusing his intense stare on Dean.
"We're, we uh, we're demon hunters." Sam offered.
"Really?" Don asked, sarcasm dripping off of the single word.
"Really." Dean agreed and crossed his arms. "We think there's a ghost haunting this place and we'd like to check it out. We didn't know there was a crime here, or we never would have run into you."
"That I don't believe."
"Are you sure? You don't get any phone calls about suspicious activity here? Or unexplained sounds? Nothing that would suggest this place is more than what it seems?" Dean asked.
"You mean to tell me I just sent two of my Detectives into a haunted monastery?" Don pulled his gun and started towards the entrance.
"Wait!" Sam yelled grabbing Don's shoulder. He jerked at the sudden stop and slammed the man against the side of the building.
"What?" He hissed, his mouth barely brushing Sam's ear.
"Let us go with you. We know how to handle these things," Sam pleaded. Don turned and found himself looking down the barrel of a revolver.
"Lower your weapon," Don demanded.
"Let go of my brother."
"Fine," Don stepped back, let go of Sam, but didn't re-holster his own weapon. "We go in together, but if either of you do anything that I don't approve of, I'm arresting you both faster than you can say NYPD."
"Deal," Dean replied and the gun disappeared back into the waist band of his jeans. Don found himself intrigued by the small flash of skin as Dean's shirt was lifted. "What don't you approve of?"
"If you think I'm gonna answer that, you definitely haven't spent enough time in New York," Don smirked and followed the two brothers into the building.
~*~*~
Don stared at the two men as the four of them nursed their beers.
"So that place really was haunted?" Danny asked as he peeled the label off of his empty bottle.
"Yeah, seems as though the monks didn't want to leave." Sam replied.
"Monks?" Don asked raising an eyebrow and staring at the other man.
"Yeah, the ones that were killed there." Dean answered.
"Really?" Don asked, complete disbelief clouding his voice.
"I told you he still doesn't believe us," Sam muttered as he elbowed Dean in the side.
"Look, Don, what can I do to convince you that we're not crazy?" Dean asked.
"I've lived here all my life. It'll take a lot more than the two of you telling me that there are demons and ghosts for me to jump up and believe you," Don replied as Danny nodded in agreement next to him.
"Mafia I believe in, demons and ghosts, not so much," Danny answered absently.
"Look, normally we don't do this kind of thing but what if the two of you come to our next job with us?" Dean offered. Don watched as Sam's eyes grew large and he stared at his brother.
"Dean? Are you crazy?"
"Look Sammy, we need to get them on our side. You said it yourself. Remember?"
"Okay look, I'm through talking in circles with the two of you. Tell us what's going on. Then we'll decide what we're going to do." Don demanded.
"On your side?" Danny asked, his eyes narrowing behind his glasses. "What are you talkin about?"
"Just hear me out okay?" Dean asked. Don nodded and leaned back in his chair as Dean sighed and placed both hands on the table. "Our mother was killed by a demon 20 years ago. Our father took off trying to find out what happened to her."
"And how do you think we can help?" Don asked as he elbowed Danny in his side.
"We were led straight to the two of you. So you believe us?"
"No. But I don't not believe you either," Don replied as he stood. "Where are ya staying?"
"I think there was a hotel just down the street," Dean answered as he and Sam stood as well. Danny finished off his beer before he stood.
"You'll stay with us. I wanna hear more about this bastard that has the two of ya chasing him all over the country," Danny grumbled as he reached for his wallet and tossed a couple bills on the table.
"Demon," Sam insisted.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever," Danny responded as he ushered the two men in front of him. Don laughed slightly and followed the three men out the door.
"We can stay at the hotel," Dean replied.
"No, that's fine. You keep saying we're involved but I'm half tempted to send ya both to the psych ward, so I'm willin to hear a bit more 'for I make up my mind," Danny said, his arms gesturing towards their right.
They all climbed into a cab and, after Don told the driver the address, fell silent. Don was busy processing all the information he had just heard. Did he believe the brothers? He wasn't sure but, like Danny, he wanted to hear more before he came to his decision.
~*~*~
Don sat up suddenly at the sharp intake of air he heard coming from the spare room. Suddenly he wasn't so sure about his and Danny's agreement to let the two men stay in their apartment. Even if his dream about Dean was suddenly cut short.
Walking out of his room, he met Danny in the short hallway.
"What's goin on?" Danny asked his voice deep from sleep.
"I don't know," Don admitted as he opened the door and looked at the two men. Sam was sitting in the middle of the bed, sweat drenched hair clinging to his face as Dean rocked them both back and forth.
"It's okay Sammy. It's okay," Dean cooed, his hands rubbing circles on Sam's back.
"You two okay?" Don asked. He felt Danny shift uncomfortably next to him.
"Yes we're fine," Dean replied barely looking over his shoulder. "Just a bad dream."
"You gonna tell us about it?" Danny asked as he leaned against the door frame.
"No." Dean glared as Sam said "Yes" at the same time.
"We should. It has to do with them."
"But they don't believe us. Dammit Sam, we never should have come here."
"But we have to," Sam insisted.
"Alright, let's cut the bullshit and start being fully honest with us," Don stated as he walked into the room and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Tell us about this dream," Danny insisted, not moving from his spot in the doorway.
"The demon comes after you," Sam replied.
"Me?" Danny asked as he was met with Sam's brown eyes staring directly at him.
"Both of you," Sam whispered.
"Us?" Don asked. He wasn't sure if he believed them or not, but the fear in Sam's eyes was real. Maybe he should believe them now, he thought absently as he turned and read the same fear in Dean's eyes.
~*~*~
Don pinched the bridge of his nose after he finished the last of his coffee. He hated not knowing exactly what was going on but after spending the last two weeks with Sam and Dean, he believed them. How could he not? He had the broken ribs to verify their story.
"You okay?" Dean asked as he took the chair next to Don and took a long pull from the bottle of beer he was carrying.
"Isn't it a little early?" Don asked as he looked at the clock.
"After last night, no."
"I'm fine. Sorry we didn't believe you," Don answered as he nodded slightly and took his empty cup to the sink. "I still can't believe that we dug up a grave, poured salt on a skeleton and set it on fire."
"We're used to it," Dean replied. Don wondered how the other man moved so fast and ended up right behind him. "It was the only way to remove the ghosts from the monastery."
"Really?" Don asked as he slowly turned and was met face to face with the most perfect pair of green eyes he had ever seen.
"Really." Dean tilted his head slightly and Don felt like he was being sized up for something.
"What?"
"You gonna arrest me?" Dean snickered before he leaned forward and captured Don's mouth in a kiss.
"Why would I do that?" Don muttered as their lips barely parted.
"Just making sure. I thought you might, but I didn't want you to slam me against the wall like you did with Sam."
"Sorry bout that." Don grinned and pulled Dean into his arms kissing the other man deeply.
"You've done this a time or two," Dean grinned. Don instantly decided he liked the flushed look arousal brought to those green eyes. "What about you and Danny?"
"Me and Danny?" Don balked and scrunched his nose. "Me and Danny are friends. Besides he's got a thing for your brother."
"Interesting," Dean replied as Don slid his hands down Dean's back and cupped the other man's ass.
~*~*~
"Damn Don," Dean moaned out as Don kissed his way down Dean's chest and stopped to suck greedily on a nipple.
"I told ya the bed would make better sense," Don smirked and kissed his way to the other nipple.
"And I told you I don't bottom," Dean snickered and flipped them both over. Don arched back as Dean gently kissed each bruise as he worked his way lower, pulling Don's pants down with him.
"You will, trust me," Don breathed out. His only response was his own sharp intake of breath as Dean's mouth closed around his cock. "Okay, maybe not." Don agreed as he felt Dean's tongue flatten and coax him farther into his mouth.
The friction was too much, so when Dean's finger brushed against his opening, he came with a hoarse shout and threaded his fingers through the short dark hair.
"Damn," he breathed coming back to his senses slowly.
"I told you I was good with my mouth," Dean commented as he pushed a finger inside Don.
"You're a cocky bastard, ya know that?" Don asked before moaning and pushing against the intrusion.
"Something like that," Dean agreed as he kissed Don again, pushing another finger inside.
Don groaned and pushed down, forcing both fingers deeper into his body as Dean stretched him. He could hear Dean opening the condom wrapper as his tongue pushed into his mouth. When he moaned louder, he was rewarded as Dean removed his fingers and lined his cock up with his opening.
"You okay?" Dean asked as he pushed inside.
"Fuck yeah," Don replied, rocking against Dean and encouraging the other man to start his thrusts.
"Greedy." Dean smirked.
"Bite me," Don growled, he pulled Dean's face down and pushed his tongue past the demanding lips. Don continued to moan deeply as he assaulted Dean's mouth, fucking himself on Dean's cock.
"Damn," Dean broke away and pounded harder into Don's body before stopping, his release spilling into the condom.
"God," Don breathed as he pulled once on his renewed erection and coming between them. Dean kissed his lips softly before pulling out and removed the condom, dropping it next to the bed.
"You okay?" Dean repeated several long seconds later, his fingers barely touching Don's abused ribs.
"Better than okay," Don absently replied as he pulled Dean down next to him.
"What about your ribs?" Dean asked, the concern in the other man's voice caused Don to smile.
"They'll be fine. Trust me, it was worth it."
Dean laughed and wrapped his arms around Don before closing his eyes.

"So you went to college?" Sam asked as he leaned against Danny, reading one of Danny's old psychology books.
"Yeah," Danny replied, his fingers idly playing with Sam's unruly hair. "I had ta do somethin', ya know? 'Specially with my family bein as fucked up as they are, I needed an out."
"I applied to a university," Sam whispered and leaned farther into Danny's touch.
"Really? Which one?"
"Stanford."
"That's all the way out in California," Danny replied as Sam twisted around and faced him.
"Yeah."
"You tell Dean?"
"No, not yet. He's not going to be happy with me."
"What about us? I mean, we only just got together but I really do like ya."
"I can always visit during the summer," Sam responded as Danny's arms wrapped around his waist and pulled their bodies closer together.
"Good," Danny replied as he leaned down and took Sam's mouth in a slow kiss.
