The chain slid from Cyrus's hands, the energy from its proximity to the Original One keeping it aloft. It snaked through the air, rising and twirling in the dull light of the dark dormitory.

Already, Cyrus could feel the power that had escaped him before. The power of the gods.

He would be a deity. He knew it for certain.

There was pain. It was burning in all its bones. Angry flames, screeching hot, as the chains binded themselves to its own stomach's ring, forcing Arceus to flail in the air.

It's mouth opened and a wail could be heard on all the campus, the pain in her voice very, very evident.

The noise was intense, and a searing pain shot though Cyrus's head at the very sound. But the pain was temporary, only a side effect of his still-mortal body.

"Give me your power, Original One," he whispered, voice almost unheard under the scream. "The power to create a new universe...! This world cannot be shaped into the ideal world I seek!"

It was beginning to flow.

The plates flew out of it body, beginning to spin freely in the air. Its skin singed and sang in pain as it hissed at him almost like a primordial, angered creature.

If it was a battle Arceus wanted, it was a battle he would give. The fate of all creation was at stake. If he failed, it would damn all things to endless strife, to a chaotic, uncontrolled undoing. He had to control it! Failure was simply not an option.

"Foolish being...you have brought this on yourself," he told it as he reached for Crobat's pokéball. He didn't have to win the pokémon battle, but he had to prolong it long enough to begin the Red Chain procedure over.

Hopefully Confusion would distract Arceus long enough for him to grab the artifact again.

Others had come, hatred and disbelief on their faces.

Others who would never understand what he worked for. Others who could never comprehend the importance of salvation.

Others who had no place in the new, perfect world.

Cyrus glared at them, at those whose emotions overrode their logic, whose pathetic hearts had cost them their very existences.

He would get rid of any obstacles.

Cammy was one of those people standing outside, looking in disbelief as the surroundings seemed to distort themselves. She spotted Cyrus, the epicenter, and took a few steps towards him, expression laced with confusion.

"Cyrus!" It wasn't a friendly call out, though she had little grip on what was happening.

Ah, the scarred commando. He had suspected a heightened capacity for violence in her, and he was curious as to how far she was willing to go if she stood against him.

But she had taken an interest in his words before. Perhaps there was hope for her yet, although he doubted it.

"Do you see it?" he asked calmly. "The dimensions distorting...the world beginning to break apart. That perfect world will be created on this spot!"

It was like nothing she had ever seen before, but Cammy tried to keep her cool, instead fixing a gaze on Cyrus.

"This is what you want? This is the new world you've been talking about?"

That shadowy beast again, that one that had confronted him, claimed to know him, claimed to have fought him.

"...I will not accept any interference," Cyrus growled at the dark god though his heart still raced from the events of the day. "Do you believe you will stop me? Will you strike me down where I stand? Pokémon of shadow, reveal yourself before me!"

He was still unsteady, still overexerted and trembling from emotion, but he stood his ground.

"Come at me if you dare to stand in my way! I will knock you aside!"

Giratina let out a loud, powerful call in response, shaking the surrounding area. He would not move from before Cyrus, and especially not as a result of Cyrus's command.

Instead, he bent his neck downwards, until his face was mere inches from Cryus's, the light reflecting off of the gold plates contrasting with the surrounding shadows. He stayed like this, waiting for Cyrus to go through with his threats. What could he possibly do to drive away a being which possessed the powers of a god?

It was biding its time, waiting to see what he would do. Was it toying with him? Or was it simply trying to seem intimidating. Cyrus frowned.

"Have you come to disrupt me? I will not be bullied about. What I seek is the creation of a new world, one free of such petty, unnecessary things as your violence, Renegade." He stared at it with pure malice, waiting for any sign of action from it.
