Things were a killer lately.

People going crazy, people leaving, people just plainly going missing... It was all honestly insane. Amp was tired of how manic this school got all the time. She really just needed a break.

There was a vacation, yes, but she already went on the mountains for a little while with Giovanni and Raikov. Granted, she left them a little earlier than they left, but... still. It felt like it wasn't enough. Maybe she needed a little more.

She walked into the common room on four paws and climbing under a couch cushion to look for treasures. Which couch cushion? Why, the one right next to Paula, of course.

Paula hadn't taken notice of the Pikachu's entrance. She was too engrossed in her current magazine. Such cute clothes! The girl couldn't decide which outfit she liked better and oh hello the cushions beside her were suddenly moving.

She quickly stood up. Watching the cushion wiggle, she looked around. No one was there. "H-Hello?"

"Pika!"

Paula, the cushion is TALKING TO YOU NOW.

Okay, no, it was just the Pikachu under the cushion. A little zig-zag tail pops out from behind it, wriggling in the air like it ain't no thing. Amp was exploring so excitedly that she was expecting Paula to approach her. I mean, c'mon, she just found a nice, big ball of lint!

Oh! There was someone underneath the cushions! Well, that explained a lot.

Paula let out a sigh of relief. She was worried that she was seeing things or it was a ghost or her powers were acting up or something.

Approaching the couch, Paula slowly lifted up the cushion.
