Well, if we're counting software as "toys"...
  • DropBox, which lets you store files online - so you can access them from your various computers, and indeed share them with others.

Personally I use Backblaze, as although it costs $5 a month, it does have unlimited storage and allows you to have version control of files...

Just moving to new computer and far more inherently satisfying to use dropbox than those nasty physical things. And easier to nick Seamus's when mine's on the wrong floor. I'd been assuming something like this was out there without actually finding one - so thank you kindly for the just-in-time hint.

A little slow to sync, but lovely apart from that.
