Buttered Carrots

I wondered why carrot slices from a can didn't taste like the carrots my mother made. I just assumed that it was the difference between canned and garden fresh. I had heard of buttered carrots, and it finally occurred to me that something should be added to the canned carrots. They certainly good that way! It's as close to my Mother's carrots' taste as I can remember. When I asked Ann about them one time she may have suggested cooking them that way. She may have actually cooked them that way before, but when I decided I wanted to make some I had to ask how. :)

You probably have noticed that I don't post or check Live Journal much anymore - mainly because Facebook seems so easy. I do think of you and your mother and all the family often.
