Who knew early on the guy in the first video would possess the beautiful voice and penchant for power ballads displayed in the second?

Something about musicians peeling away that layer of hardcoreness to expose what's underneath makes me fall in love with them.

It seems brave because these guys (especially in punk) have a large following of people who are expecting a specific sound and image from them. But the musicians risk it by putting this side of themselves out there for the world to see.

Loves. it.

Same here. I love having my forgone conclusions or preconceptions shattered. It was this song that fist did it with this guy. Song and lyrics are both beautiful and I couldn't believe it when I found out the band was basically another incarnation of Slipknot ( ... )

It's so easy to forget that musicians are just like everyone else. There's so much to their personalities, and tastes, that you can't put them into one category. They grow, develop and can regress like the next person.

But now I'll go back to my first reaction to the videos. The Shining! :D

And I love Bother. It's just so powerful.

Well said and I love your icon. : D

Also, couldn't agree more about "Bother". One of my all time favorite songs.
