I saw the newest Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom, which I've been looking forward to seeing for months, today and loved it. I'm even hoping to see it again before it leaves theaters.

What the hell was the deal with Kathy Ireland's voice???!!! Was clicking around the channels one night, stumbled onto the movie and had to quit it cause of "squeaky girl".

HA! Her voice was the topic of conversation through much of the movie. I think it was intentional and not her actual voice.

I KNEW beforehand she didn't sound like that in real life, that's what bugged me so much. Yeah, stereotypical nerds sometimes talk funny, but "sucking helium" was a bad move.

Ah, can't wait to see Moonrise Kingdom! Glad to hear you liked it. It's not playing anywhere around here, so I'm waiting impatiently, haha.

Mayhem Fest sounds like it'll be awesome.

Awwww. I loved the MST3K version of Alien in L.A. They were merciless with their ridicule of Kathy Ireland.

Did you know miss Ireland has a home decorating empire rivaling Martha Stewart? She's got sheets, towels, bed linens, drapes, furniture, everything. I guess since modeling and acting didn't work out for her, she had to do *something* and that's what she found.

The MST3K version of Disney's Black Hole is also excellent. "Who's afraid of the big black hole, the big black hole, the big black hole..." Awesome.

ETA: Motorhead? Lemmy is still alive? Amazing. Have a great time!

Ha! I had no idea she had such an empire!

I didn't know there was a MST3K for Black Hole, but it makes sense.

Yeah, I saw them live back in the winter, too. Or maybe it was last fall? Anyway, they put on a good show and one of the loudest I've been to.
