Infectious

I fell into an alternative rock (including indie rock) mood yesterday evening, so I've been listening to the only decent alt rock station around here today. I've heard a couple songs I liked, but wasn't familiar with before, and this totally infectious, '90s style is one of them. I might be late to this party, but I'm sharing anyway. Be warned: ( Read more... )

Haha, all stations called "the Edge" are cool by default!

I see what you mean about it getting stuck in your head. But there are worse things to get stuck in there. Catchy little tune! And I'd never heard it before so I guess I'm late to the party too (no surprise).

Haha that goes without saying. I wouldn't even give that station the time of day if it weren't for it's extreme name. ; ) For real though, it's got a great mix of new and old stuff and plays everything from modern indie rock to '90s grunge, new wave and everything in between while still playing as much new stuff as old, unlike so many other stations that play about 75% old stuff while claiming to be a "modern" rock station.

ANYWAY, glad you like it! And it looks like the song was only released recently, so we're not as late as I originally thought. : )

I listened to this song repeatedly last evening just because you posted it. I'd never heard it before. I wish I had money. It's totally stuck in my head now "...faster than my gun...faster than my bullet..."

Aaah ha ha ha ha!

Argh! Damn you! Now it's in my head again!

Dude, there are so many new albums I want right now with no less than three of my all time favorite artists releasing new ones this coming Tuesday.

Yeah, it sucks. I mean, awesome that good new music is coming out, but sucks I can't afford any of it. I have a list of albums going back probably two years that just keeps growing. I realized about a month ago that last year at this time I wanted the Airborn Toxic Event album...a year ago! Still don't have it. There's a moratorium on music purchases until finances change. I hope that comes soon.

It's the same way for me, except I still buy new music now and then. Even when I'm buyin a CD or more a week, there's still a lot that get passed up because I'm in the mood for something else at the time and then they get temporarily forgotten, etc. There are albums from a few years or longer ago I still need to get from my favorite artists. The pains of being an obsessive music lover/enthusiast.

"....better run, better run, outrun my gun...all the other kids with the pumped up kicks...."

Still. Listening.

It happens. I had a girlfriend once that wouldn't listen to an album more than once in some specified period of time. "I'm afraid I'll get tired of it," she said. "I listen to the same album for two or three weeks at a stretch without listening to anything else," I said. It's still true. She didn't even do that when she got a NEW album, which totally blew me away. Hello! New music! Intense listening!!!!!

Yeah, that's crazy. I'm with you on this one. There are times when I'm feeling one song so much that I'll put it on repeat while I sleep.
