Hindsight was twenty-twenty, and Temari was just not used to dealing with this world yet. She had arranged for the meeting, the location, the time, but had completely forgotten the identification part.

She slipped out of work early so that she could arrive ahead of schedule and watch the intersection. To the casual observer, she was a young professional on her way home. Skirt, heels, hair sensibly braided out of the way. The blade strapped to her thigh and her carefully controlled movements were easily missed.

The residents of Siren's Port came and went, but one man was staying put at the intersection. Temari smiled a bit as she watched him, verifying for herself that she had the right person. Tall, dark, far from friendly. Matched his sharp writing style, if nothing else.

She pushed herself away from the building she had been leaning against and walked toward him, heels clicking on the pavement.

"Looking for someone?"

Severus was beginning to feel uneasy. People came and went, passing by him without so much as a second glance at him. Perhaps, he thought, the man had already seen him and decided to leave. He would wait for a while longer though, before he left. It could be that the man was just late ( ... )

"Don't be jealous, I don't typically try to pick up strange men." Temari was smiling a bit, finding the humor in any situation. She was very aware that her appearance did not line up with her skills in the slightest, and it was something she cultivated. "But yes, if you're the one that fancies going for a swim, then I was looking to meet up with you."

It was too open here for her tastes, and Temari glanced down the road. Standing on the corner and talking like this stood out like a sore thumb. "Tea drinker, by any chance?" The sooner they moved to somewhere else, the better. Keep it public, but a location where sitting and talking was expected.

Severus did not find that amusing at all. He nodded, although he wondered why everyone seemed to think that swimming was going to be involved in this excursion. Still, it was something that identified her as the person he had planned to meet here.

"Yes." he said. He wasn't particularly fond of tea, but he understood what she had used the excuse for. They were a rather mismatched pair, so standing together might attract too much attention from the other pedestrians.

"Do you know of a decent cafe nearby?" Severus was unfamiliar with this sector. He had very little reason to explore this area.
