[It's about 5:40 when she finally arrives. The station might not be far but she brings her car, just in case. She sets her things in the back and then heads inside the coffee shop, looking for the familiar white hair and red light from his visor. She smiles when she sees him, making her way over.

She slides into the seat across from him.]

I hope I didn't keep you waiting.

Not at all. [He passes her the small menu between them on the table as he takes a sip of his coffee with his other hand.] They do a good mocha latte here, if that's your kind of thing.

[He nods and signals to the waitress, who appears to have a hand signal system worked out with him by now. Then he turns his attention back to her.]

I'm pretty excited about this weekend. More than I thought I would be, but you're right... a vacation is sounding better and better.
