How might one replicate the size, shape, weight, and feel of an OB tampon, while managing to make it more durable? What sort of material might one make it out of? I've been in a fandom pretty consistently since I was fourteen, so it's a little odd to find myself not compulsively reading fic in my spare time. I imagine I'll come back to it, which is why I phrased it sort of half-heartedly. bachelorettia told me I'd be back, and I trust her judgment on this score (which is to say, me-related idiocies).

maybe if you wrapped a few cottonballs tightly in paper, then wrapped that in tape, that would make an okay fake tampon? I'm kind of tempted to go experiment, but I think my roommate would really start to reconsider her decision to live with me.

That might do it. I am going to try that when I get home. I have cotton balls, paper, AND tape, so it's possible!

And oh man, I am really glad I live alone these days. Tampon-toy experimentation alone would drive off any slightly saner being.

I futzed around with it anyway and I really think that rolling 3-4 cotton balls up in a receipt might do it. Receipt paper is nice and crackly, which I know my cat likes.

Have you tried wrapping the tampon in packing tape, with the plastic wrapper still on? It might be more durable that way...

I'm pleased you like my posts, for real. And the main problem I have with cutting down my friendslist is that I genuinely like most of the people on it -- including you, for example -- so I have a hard time winnowing. This is the story of my life.

I was actually considering that last night. I think I might try crafting my own, then wrapping one with a strip of regular tape, then doing one with packing tape, and seeing which one he prefers. IT'S SCIENCE!

I'm kind of suck at commenting (and suck at responding comments -- see how I'm blithely ignoring the BBB responses I should do!), so I can't blame you. Glad the non-fannish content is good, though; sometimes I do worry a bit that I'm bland on non-band subjects.
