who ; Gibson, Jalen, and Twosix-six what ; Getting kidnapped, getting kidnapped, and going crazy respectively. where ; R05 -- Gibson when ; Wednesday the 24th warning(s) ; … tbd?
[ ANOTHER THING GIBSON SHOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION TO? His surroundings. Like maybe the part where every camera, every recording device, every holographic projector had turned on and was fixated on this particular location, a sudden cycling up of energy an audible hum from every wall.
At the least, Gibson ought to be alerted when all of a sudden a dozen sirens start blaring out of nowhere, mechanical voices giving flat warnings, and suddenly there are panels on the streets and walls opening up to reveal very menacing looking mounted turrets.
All of them happened to be pointed right at him, even as a hand comes out of nowhere from behind and claps over Gibson's mouth, dragging him back against a humanoid figure. Twosix hisses in his ear as the turrets' red tracking lights come to bear on both of them. Mostly Gibson, since he's in front. ]
Don't move. They won't fire on something blocking their target.
The sudden rush of energy into the sector earns the walls around Gibson a suspicious side-eye, and then--thaaaaaaat's a lot of turrets pointing straight at him. The sudden arrival of Twosix behind him doesn't make things any better, and if he could have, he would have snapped at Twosix to get off him. In the meantime, well... Have an elbow thrown straight back and aimed somewhere near your stomach, Twosix. Guess who doesn't appreciate being used as a meatshield?
(Smart decision? Probably not, but Twosix is the target here... and besides, people come back after they derezz on the station. No big deal.)]
[ Oh Gibson, y u so predictable. Twosix makes a noise at the impact, his hand slipping down to Gibson's throat instead, but he doesn't let go and it's like elbowing a steel girder anyway. The turrets all snap to attention at the movement, of course. ]
[Okay, that's currently ranking pretty high on the list of Stupidest Decisions Gibson Has Ever Made. Ow.
The sudden attention from the turrets is definitely Gibson's cue to freeze--and the fact that he's a computer program means that when he stops moving, there is exactly zero extraneous movement. (It also means that the hand at his throat isn't doing much to stop him from talking... although he's at least got enough sense to keep it quiet.)]
What was I supposed to do? You're trying to use me as a shield!

Yeah, that's not a good sign.

Besides, they want to shoot you, not me.
[And Gibson's okay with that, really.]
