If it were, I wouldn't be asking, would I? [He's tense as well, and he doesn't know Clu's motives well enough to determine what's going to happen. For all he knows, Clu could be planning to take out all other programs in the area.]

[Tron stops the attempt to contact Rinzler again and turns his attention to Anon. He pauses a moment, considering.]

Create the perfect system. But he can't, not here. The User world is never going to be perfect, and he can't change that.

[What Tron doesn't know is what Clu will do in that situation...]

[Tron hesitates, trying to process the concept. He'd try to find a new purpose, surely, or have a User give him direction, but... Clu doesn't have that option, not now.]

What matters is what he will do. He could destroy himself or he could try to destroy everything around him. If it's the first I won't stop him. [Sure, just keep telling yourself that... you'll feel bad once it happens, Tron.] If it's the second, if he's going to hurt anyone else, then I have to know.

Hurting anyone else would not be logical. [He can be as erratic as he likes, but what would be the point of harming others? Anon shakes his head.] Sees himself as a problem in the system, Tron.
