An update full of rock for you this week, and also a week where I disagreed with a lot of big-name producers I usually don't. I'm reasonably certain that cutting out scop or nana's tracks this week will get me lynched by at least one person

The video and instrumental for Mr. Alice are so good, it's really a shame Miku's voice is so... lifeless in it. Maybe I'll hold out for a good utattemita of it.

Hello Strobe is weird because it's basically just a remix of Powapowa's other song, Sayonara Remember-san (Or whatever the real translation of that katakana is). Really enjoyed it, though.

That Yuki song is not that great (though I've like some of kagome's other zany Yuki stuff) but THAT VIDEO IS AWESOME. urge to cosplay rising like that wouldn't be a terrible idea or anything

I would LOVE a meetup planning post! It's hard to meet other Vocaloid fans, even if you are dressed up as a Vocaloid.

Yeah, I nearly balked at Performer, but it's clearly meant to be creepy and the video's so good, technically speaking. That combined with how well it's done during the week - which is sort of one of my metrics - led me to include it.

Pretty much all the mod staff stared in wonder and silence at the kagome song. Oh kagome you shining star.

It is very well executed for sure, just not my cup of tea, so they say. I'd definitely be interested to see more from whoever made it.

... I just noticed the comment box changed back to the old style, mostly because your icon's the only one I've seen with a transparent background.

They're responsible for Holography, which is at the top of their tag for views. Lots of other weird shit on there, though.

Damn right *pitchforks*. Well, okay, so maybe Rainy Girl's got some problems tuning wise & not as good as Raindrops, but the music's still nice or maybe that's just my bias

I Am A Performer, wut. Even as someone who usually appreciates a bit of weirdness, this is just way bizarre. The animation is awesome though, weird as it is.

I think what niki's songs have that sele's don't is that they show what's unique about Lily's voice. You can replace Lily in sele's songs with a low-pitched Luka and it probably wouldn't sound much different, but I doubt the same could be said for niki's. That's just what I think though.

The problem I had with Rainy Girl wasn't that it was bad, just that in a post where 70% of the songs are fast energetic music, it just felt utterly dull. It's not really got any of scop's usual acoustic flair to it.
