I'm sorry that it couldn't work; even knowing in advance that it probably wouldn't work, I suspect you'll have an ache for a while. J.Z. probably won't understand why you've changed, probably won't allow himself the understanding that things weren't fine as they were.

It sucks.

But on the other hand, you do have your life back. Now you can go find the person that J.Z. almost was.
